Abstract

Al -Tawakee (Minute Letters) is a literary prose art, rooted in the history of ancient Arabic literature, which grew and developed later; until the Islamic era, and the literary eras that followed. It became an art of literary prose, with its origins, characteristics, features, methods and mechanisms, seeking argumentation, persuasion and influence. This study has attempted to study the methods and techniques of Andalusian Tawakee, represented by: (argumentation and its connections), in two studies. The first deals with the rhetorical methods, represented by simile and metaphor. And the second treats the argumentation connections. These two studies are preceded by an introduction, which deals with: the importance of research, its motives, its methodology, and a review of previous studies. This is followed by a preface presenting the concept of argumentation, linguistically and idiomatically, and indicating its purpose. This is finally followed by a conclusion stating the most important findings of the study, and a list of the sources and references that are used and consulted in this research.
