The issue of protecting civilians during non-international armed conflicts is a subject that necessitates thorough study and dedicated efforts for examination, given that civilian populations are among the most affected by the consequences of such conflicts.
Considering that protecting civilians requires articulating the legal framework established in their favour, this research titled "The Legal Framework for the Protection of Civilians during Non-International Armed Conflicts in International Humanitarian Law" has been conducted.
Since international humanitarian law is applicable in the event of a non-international armed conflict, protecting civilians necessitates a precise definition of civilians and articulating the rules.
