Obsession with the Homeland in Hadeeth Al-Hudhud (Hoopoe's Speech) Collection

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to track the premonition of the homeland in the Hoopoe Talks "Hadeeth AlHudhud" in the poems' collection that was written by the poet Muhammad Jaber Al-Harbi, by using summons'and intertextuality's tools in the collection's main title, the poems' titles, and their contents. The study showed in detail the roles of summons and intertextuality in reinforcing this premonition that predominated the poet. As the study revealed hidden indications behind the summoned characters and picked the inherent dimensions of poetic verses in his poems, to demonstrate that this investment was consistent with the premonition mode, linked to the Arab world, and its repercussions. It led to a search for wisdom, which Al-Harbi did not find it on this homeland, but found it with Hoopoe. Then, he discovered that the mistakes committed by the nation are much less than what the nation suffered from losses and calamities, and the greatest of these calamities manifested in lost Palestine, which woven from its symbolism all that he wanted to show from his ideas.
