Abstract

Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the level of globalization and the prevailing pattern of political culture among a sample of Hashemite University students during the second semester of the academic year 2022/2023.

Methods: The researcher adopts a descriptive analysis approach based on the quantitative method. In collecting and analyzing data, the researcher relied on a tool: the questionnaire. A scientific questionnaire was designed to measure indicators of both the independent factor (level of globalization) and the dependent factor (pattern of political culture), and it was applied to a sample of 501 students from Hashemite University. The researcher started with several questions about the relationship between the globalization level and the political culture pattern.

Results:  The study found statistically significant differences between the variables of gender, globalization, and political culture. The study also found that the independent variable explains (18%) of the variance in the dependent variable.

Recommendations: The study recommends investigating the reasons that lead to the existence of a fragmented political culture among the individuals in the study sample, conducting larger studies at the level of Jordanian society, and supporting scientific research in this field.
