Abstract

This paper aims to provide a critical and philosophical study of one of the most complex aspects of the ethics of artificial intelligence and hopefully resolve the question of where our location concerning the ethics of artificial intelligence is. The question is examined from two viewpoints, the ethical and the legal. In the first section, the study attempts to define the expected artificial moral behavior, determine its nature, and how it can be achieved. In the second, the study attempts to clarify the measurement of the ethical dimension of the expected artificial behavior and whether we are socially or legally equipped to deal with ethical artificial intelligence.

The research concludes that ensuring that artificial intelligence behaves ethically must take precedence over the pure concept of the ethics of this intelligence. Moreover, the technical standards of this intelligence must be subordinated to human standards. At the same time, the study discovers a coherent knowledge circle, i.e., the study of the morality of artificial intelligence leads to enhanced artificial intelligence. In contrast, the study of artificial intelligence leads to a better understanding of the morality of artificial intelligence. The study recommends that each be studied to understand the other better.
