Abstract

The summary of the study includes research into the legal restrictions contained in Jordanian legislation on freedom of movement and residence and the extent of their compatibility with constitutional texts and judicial decisions in terms of freedom of movement within the territory of the state from one place to another and moving outside the territory of the country by travelling by land، sea or air and residing in any place within The state and outside it، as freedom of movement is one of the most important public freedoms that people must enjoy so that they can practice their daily lives in all its forms without restrictions imposed on them. This is done by reviewing the laws، regulations and instructions issued in accordance with the provisions of the law and the extent to which these restrictions are compatible or inconsistent with the constitutional texts that guarantee freedom of movement and movement based on the text of Article (9) of the Jordanian Constitution issued in (1952)، and comparing them with some Arab legislation، to reach the extent of compatibility or legal restrictions conflict with constitutional texts.
