Plagerism strategy

The Jordanian Journal of Law and Political Science (JJLPS)is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, research ethics, and responsible publishing practices. The journal adopts a strict anti-plagiarism policy consistent with internationally recognized standards of academic publishing ethics.

Acceptable Similarity Threshold

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are screened using accredited plagiarism detection software prior to initiating the peer-review process.
The journal applies a maximum overall similarity index not exceeding 25%, provided that all quotations and cited materials are properly referenced and academically justified.

Screening Procedures

  • All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening before editorial evaluation(turnitin).
  • Manuscripts exceeding the permitted similarity threshold will not be forwarded for peer review.
  • The editorial board reserves the right to request clarifications or revisions where similarity reports require academic justification.

Actions Taken in Cases of Plagiarism

If plagiarism or unethical textual overlap is confirmed, the journal may take one or more of the following actions:

  1. Immediate rejection of the manuscript prior to peer review.
  2. Formal notification to the corresponding author explaining the reason for rejection.
  3. Suspension of future submissions from the authors in cases of serious ethical violations.
  4. Initiation of retraction procedures if plagiarism is discovered after publication.

Authors’ Responsibilities

Submission of a manuscript constitutes confirmation by the authors that:

  • The work is original and has not been previously published.
  • All sources and references are properly cited and acknowledged.
  • The manuscript complies with international standards of publication ethics.

Ethical Standards

The journal adheres to internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and academic integrity, as well as best practices required by major international indexing and abstracting databases.
